Use Estanza from your AI
Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to draw, change and publish your Estanza home, in the chat you already use.
What it is
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use another service for you, the way an app on your phone uses your camera once you allow it.
The Estanza MCP server lets your assistant read your homes and change them with the same tools the Estanza editor uses. You sign in to Estanza, not to the assistant, and you can take the access back at any time.
How to connect
Every app uses the same address. Find yours below, then sign in to Estanza and allow access when it asks.
https://api.estanza.casa/mcp- Claude: open Customize, then Connectors. Choose Add custom connector, paste the address and sign in.
- ChatGPT: turn on Developer mode under Settings, Security and login. Then open Plugins, press + and paste the address.
- Le Chat: open Connectors. Choose Add Connector, then Custom MCP Connector, paste the address and sign in.
- Cursor: Add to Cursor in one click, then sign in when Cursor asks.
- Claude Code: run this, then
/mcpto sign in.claude mcp add --transport http estanza https://api.estanza.casa/mcp - Codex: run this, then
codex mcp login estanzato sign in.codex mcp add estanza --url https://api.estanza.casa/mcp - Any other app or agent: add a custom MCP connector or server with the address above. An agent that edits its own MCP config takes:
{"mcpServers":{"estanza":{"url":"https://api.estanza.casa/mcp"}}}
Chat apps cannot add a connector from a message, so paste the address in their settings as shown. Then turn Estanza on in a chat and ask.
What your AI can do
Say what you want, for example "make the second bedroom an office and put the desk under the window". Your assistant can:
- Start a home, blank or from one of the Estanza templates.
- Trace a floor plan picture you give it: it draws the walls and asks you for one real length to set the scale.
- Change it: rooms, floors, walls, doors, windows, stairs, furniture, lights, cables, garden and notes. Each change is a new version, so you can undo it from the editor.
- Look at it: a picture of the floor plan drawn by Estanza, and a link to the 3D view.
- Publish it and hand you the share link and the Home Assistant card link, with the steps to put the card on your dashboard.
- Add your own 3D model of a piece of furniture and place it.
Every change also shows up in the Estanza editor, so you can carry on by hand whenever you like.
Limits
Changes made from your AI never count against the asks in the editor, because your assistant does the thinking. The usual account limits still apply: how many homes, 100 MB of storage, saves per day and home size.
Privacy
- Homes only. Your assistant sees your homes and nothing personal: no email, no name, no sign-in details.
- Your assistant reaches only your own homes, and only after you sign in to Estanza and allow it.
- It never sees your password or your Estanza session.
- Publishing a home needs its own permission.
- Disconnect any app in the Estanza app, under Settings, Connected apps. Signing out everywhere or deleting your account disconnects them all.
- See the privacy policy for the rest.
